These camps are full of marginalized folk, who have been dehumanized through trauma, addiction, mental health issue, and systemic oppression. Due to COVID, the loss of jobs, lack of public housing, underfunded treatment centers, and 50% capacity shelters, that population is increasing at a rapid rate.
